Lindengate Mental Health Charity Launches Rest & Reflect for NHS and all Key and Essential Workers to Drop In for Free

Lindengate Mental Health Charity, based over a stunning 5 acre Therapeutic Garden and wildlife haven near Wendover, will be launching their Rest & Reflect programme in June, supporting NHS and all key and essential workers and those affected by bereavement from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Working in partnership with The Clare Foundation, a charity that brings together organisations within the County, to facilitate and create positive change across society, the programme has been developed in response to the looming mental health crisis facing us.

Lindengate offers support to NHS and all key and essential workers in a calm, safe and relaxing environment, where there are no demands and people are able to breathe and take time for themselves.  The richness of the environment enables the nurturing power of nature to gently help people find those all-important moments of peace.

A handout will be available, explaining how they might benefit from being in the Gardens. They will then be able to walk via a one-way system, around the gardens, giving them the opportunity to relax with nature. There will also be opportunities for spending time sitting in some of the “just be” places either in the wild spaces or more formal areas. Lindengate’s trained staff and volunteers will be on hand to support,  guide and keep safe everyone who visits.  A shorter route on our designated accessible pathways will also be available for those who prefer it.

On leaving Lindengate, visitors will be given the chance to take home a gift from Lindengate’s gardens, which will include fresh produce from the extensive Kitchen Gardens.

Further information on visiting times can be found on our website www.lindengate.org.uk from Monday 8th June or please email info@lindengate.org.uk or call 01296 622443

The new world of many people having to self-isolate and/or physical distance has prompted us to adapt and change our way of supporting those affected by Covid 19, so we have also set up an online support module called Lindengate@Home.  Our website home page hosts the Lindengate@Home portal, which gives vital information on increasing your wellbeing during the pandemic.
