Grows from 50 to 80cm high (max 1m) in woods, hedge banks and scrubby grassland on dry limey soils.
Plant in Cottage and informal gardens, wildflower meadows, flower borders and beds, underplanting of roses and shrubs.
Nettle-leaved Bellflower was protected under the 1987 Flora Protection Order and falls into the ‘Endangered’ category.
