One of our perennial native salvia producing whorls of purple flowers on long stems in summer.
Highly attractive to bees. Aromatic foliage. Plant in a well-drained sunny position. Rich in nectar and highly attractive to a wide range of bee species and other pollinating insects.
Caterpillar food plant of the Twin-spot Carpet moth.
Advised to plant in informal groups to encourage recognition and attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
