Based in our beautiful gardens and woodland site in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, Lindengate provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where people can connect with nature, build confidence and improve wellbeing.

As Programme Lead, you will plan, deliver and develop Lindengate’s community-based wellbeing and mental health programmes, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, trauma-informed and responsive to community needs. You will lead programme delivery, line-manage staff and volunteers, embed Social and Therapeutic Horticulture and nature-based approaches across services, build strong partnerships, and oversee safeguarding, quality, monitoring, evaluation and funding requirements, combining a passion for mental health with strong leadership to support Lindengate’s mission of enhancing lives through nature.

As Site Lead, you will lead the day-to-day management of Lindengate’s site, overseeing horticulture, conservation, biodiversity, visitor experience and safety to ensure the gardens and landscape remain a welcoming, biodiverse space that supports mental, physical and social wellbeing. You will plan and deliver seasonal horticultural and conservation programmes, manage and inspire staff and volunteers, lead key biodiversity projects, ensure high standards of health and safety, support wellbeing programme delivery, contribute to income generation and events, and work collaboratively across the charity to maintain and enhance the site in line with Lindengate’s mission and values.
Hours: 24 hours Tuesday – Friday (can be flexible)

As Horticulture, Conservation & Site Coordinator, you will play a hands-on role in delivering and coordinating horticulture and conservation activities across Lindengate’s site, working under the Horticulture, Conservation & Site Lead. You will apply your practical expertise to lead volunteer and group sessions, manage gardens, nurseries and habitats, support training and income-generating activities, and ensure safe, sustainable and inclusive practice, while working closely with programme staff to use nature-based activities to support the mental, physical and social wellbeing of children, adults and volunteers.
